Krause to Appear as UMKC School of Law Guest Lecturer
Philip Krause will appear this week as guest lecturer to Prof. Christopher M. Holman’s law school class, “Seminar in Law, License & Technology,” at the University of Missouri—Kansas City’s School of Law, to be presented virtually via video conference. Philip’s subject matter will include using intellectual property assets as a foundation for growth and success in high-growth technology and life sciences ventures, and a checklist of terms and conditions to consider in technology licensing agreements. The presentations will draw from Philip’s nearly four decades of law practice, having handled multiple transactions involving intellectual property assets, including a wide range of licensing and distribution agreements. The discussion themes will emphasize the principle that high-growth start-up ventures are typically formed to exploit intellectual property assets. Some of Philip’s presentation materials are publicly available at the website for Krause Law LLC, at https://www.krauselawkc.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/KrauseLaw_LicensingPres-2014.pdf
