GIVING THANKS FOR A GREAT FIRST YEAR

This has been a terrific year for Krause Law LLC!

About a year ago, with encouragement from some really good people, I began to transition from a long-time solo law practice as “Philip N. Krause P.C.” to launching a new law firm under the name “Krause Law LLC.”  This was much more than simply a new name—it required a complete new platform, including vision, branding, website, space, technology and more.  The objective was to establish a regional boutique law firm, focusing exclusively on business law services targeted to entrepreneurs who are building innovative new businesses, and to established businesses who need trusted outside general counsel services to pursue their strategic objectives.  The initial goal was to create a foundation by adding several new lawyers in the first year, in order to position the firm for further growth in the future.  I believed then, as all of us at Krause Law still do, that “the time had come for the legal profession to start focusing on what their clients really want—great service at fair rates, with an up-to-date service model.”

Of course, the key to our practice is our great clients.  We are indebted to many existing clients for their ongoing support and encouragement as well as a good measure of patience through some of our learning curves, and also to a number of new clients who have been persuaded that ours is the right service model for their needs.  Our clients have yielded our best ever financial year since my solo law practice was first established in 2002—we are challenged to give them better and better service so we can earn and retain their loyalty.

We also have been encouraged by many other key supporters and enthusiasts.  Perhaps the most important has been Renae Gonner and her great team at ER Marketing, who have pressed us to set high goals and then helped us by delivering key tools for building our practice.  See www.ermarketing.net.  An honorable mention also goes to Robert Keim of Keim Finance Law, LLC, for his invaluable mentoring on how to build and manage a law practice.  See www.keimlaw.com.  We owe gratitude to many others and will be reaching out to them personally in this holiday season.

We are delighted with the recent addition of two new lawyers, Malika Simmons and James Cole.  They are both talented, highly credentialed and enthusiastic young lawyers, who bring breadth and depth to our firm’s law practice and immediately elevate the services we can offer to existing clients.  We are eager for our clients to get acquainted with Malika and James, and they can be expected to make an impact in the community we serve—be watching for them!

As an expression of our appreciation to our clients and other key supporters, Krause Law has made contributions to two important local charities:

  • City Union Mission—This faith-based organization has been serving the most needy people in our community since 1924, not only providing compassionate relief in times of desperate need, but also helping them to discover a sustainable pathway to personal renewal and self-sufficiency. See cityunionmission.org.
  • Harriman Jewell Series of William Jewell College—Now in its 51st year, this series was established by two of my esteemed English professors at William Jewell College, Richard Harriman and Dean Dunham, and now fulfills their dream for the college to present the finest performing artists from around the world to the Kansas City community. See hjseries.org.

Please accept our appreciation, along with our Best Wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving, a Blessed Holiday Season and a Prosperous New Year.
